Celebrate America's 250th birthday at Stuhr Museum! Live music, cultural performances, historic demonstrations, food trucks, a soccer tournament, kids' activities, and so much more! The festival is brought to you by support from Grand Island Tourism as well as several other sponsors, contributing partners, and programming partners. Admission is $2.50 for the public in honor of America 250, and free for Stuhr Museum and Hastings Museum members. The fun continues after dark with the community fireworks show at 10 p.m. presented by the Grand Island Fireworks Celebration. Free admission for the fireworks show starts at 8 p.m., giving you plenty of time to find a park, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy live music before the fireworks by Omaha-based 90s cover band, Killer Tofu. Please note, no personal fireworks, personal drones, alcohol, drugs, smoking, vaping, grills, open flames, or weapons of any kind are permitted on museum grounds during the festival and fireworks. The Grand Island Police Department and several volunteers will help after the fireworks show for a safe and efficient exit from the grounds. Traffic turning east out of the museum grounds will exit as normal and traffic turning west will exit using the entrance lane.
