Record temps in Hastings and Grand Island

The National Weather Service Hastings office says afternoon temperatures climbed into the mid-70s across the local area Monday, with new record high temperatures reported at both Grand Island and Hastings. The high temperature of 77 reported in Grand Island was the warmest temperature ever recorded this early in the year since record keeping began back in 1895!
